Dr Guy Roberts is a Consultant Psychiatrist (Adult Mental Health) within both the NHS and private practice. He also has a special interest in occupational medicine and works as the Director of Mental Health Services for Occupational Health Consultancy Ltd (OHC).
Occupational Health Consultancy Ltd are a Southampton based Occupational Health business. They won the Award for Innovation in Mental Health 2012 for their work on mental health in the workplace. OHC Ltd have been established for over 17 years and provides services to many businesses in the region.
Their unique approach to mental health includes providing independent psychiatric advice via Dr Guy Roberts, Consultant Psychiatrist, to employers and employees alike. This empowers organisations to deal with highly complex issues. Guy will be accompanied by Mary Read, the Business Director.
Event details
At this event Dr Guy Roberts will give a presentation on mental health issues and how they are likely to show up in employees. OHC Ltd will then explain the role of occupational health in working with an organisation to gain a diagnosis and to learn the impact of this on the workplace. We will learn about the practical information and advice Occupational Health can provide to HR and to managers to help them in understanding how they can manage the situation. Occupational Health can explain the information an organisation needs to provide to occupational health providers in order to gain maximum benefit from this medial specialism.
By the end of the event you will understand the information you will need to provide to OH; what information should be shared with the employee and how you can manage the situation to support your employee and be in a position to reach long term employment decisions if the situation does not stabilise in a reasonable period of time.
